Nicole Barnum, Vice President

Nicole is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She worked in film production before beginning her legal career as a public defender in New York City, where she represented adults and children accused of crimes. She later started her own law firm, handling all types of family law matters as well as criminal and federal civil rights cases. Nicole has conducted continuing attorney legal education for experienced attorneys and supervised and mentored law students and new attorneys. She has extensive experience counseling clients through high-conflict litigation and is trained in Restorative Practice and mediation. Nicole volunteered for her law school’s Gay Men’s Health Crisis Wills Project, with the New York Civil Rights Coalition, and for a farm cooperative.
