The JAck of Hearts Club
Book, Score, and Lyrics by Jon Richardson
Performance Dates: July 16-September 6, Thursday-Saturday at 7pm, Sunday at 2pm

Returning to the Provincetown Theater stage after a sold-out run in October 2025, The Jack of Hearts Club is a love note to Provincetown, past and present. Set on the last day of summer in 1963, townies and seasonal residents gather for the annual "So Long, Summer" cabaret send-off at the Jack of Hearts Club, the local dive owned and operated by community matriarch, Dorothy, and her daughter, Liz. When a summer fling becomes something more, Liz must choose whether or not to stay in the safe harbor of Provincetown or follow her heart into the shadows of New York. Through gleeful song and a rich score that evokes the glorious style of musical theater, Liz's search for herself becomes the bedrock for each character's defining and claiming their own belonging in the world. Featuring the rousing music and lyrics of local composer-librettist Jon Richardson, The Jack of Hearts Club will leave you humming into the night to the tune of unabashed queer joy.
