RADIO STAR and TOWN MEETING are back this September!

The Provincetown Theater is excited to bring back two incredible artists featured in this past June's 4-Star Solo Show Festival!

After having to unexpectedly cancel the original run in June, we are so excited to bring Radio Star by Tanya O'Debra back from September 12-14th!

Told as a 1940s radio detective program, Tanya seamlessly performs a multitude of stylish and clever characters in this twisty, noir-ish who-done-it comedy, while also creating all the foley sound effects onstage! Having performed it in festivals all over the world, as well as in NYC at the legendary Joe’s Pub, Tanya wrote Radio Star on a lark.

“Radio Star was my first stab at individuality,” she says. “Writing and performing alone means you don’t have to wait for anyone else to do your work.” Fifteen years and nearly a dozen productions later, she notes, “What started as a way for me to showcase myself as a comedic performer sort of became my calling card!”

In bringing the show to P'town, Tanya says, "I think we've been through a rough period lately, and we're about to head into a very chaotic election season, so I really want people to come out and enjoy themselves with me. More than anything, I want everyone to have some laughs!"

Tanya has a shiny new MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Department of Dramatic Writing, and she’s hoping that with enough degrees and prizes no one will notice she’s actually a dumpster rat in a wig and a ballgown.

“There can be no doubting O’Debra’s talent: she has a vocal arsenal that puts Saturday Night Live’s Kristen Wiig to shame.” – NY Press

"Clever, original, and unflinchingly funny." - Broadway World

"Side-splittingly hilarious... the best one-woman show I've seen."- Edinburgh Three Weeks

The weekend after Radio Star, we are excited to bring back Cody Sullivan's Town Meeting!

Back by popular demand after a sold out run in June, on Fri-Sun, September 20-22, Cody Sullivan will be remounting his laugh-a-minute love letter to Provincetown's politics: Town Meeting.

If you didn't catch Town Meeting the first time, make sure you get your tickets now!

“I was inspired to do this show after attending my first town meeting in 2019,” says Cody, who’s lived in Provincetown for the past five years. “The passion people expressed was so incredible, the range of emotion so vast, it was awe inspiring. I loved seeing the town show it's love for itself, for this amazing place we live in. And what a delicious treat to play a bunch of people who are so invested and so in love.”

Grateful to have a place to build and expand his work as a theater artist, “Provincetown has given me an artistic community that sustains me. This is my home.” And in the telling of Town Meeting, Cody says, “I want the audience to walk away thinking about town meeting next April! Hopefully with a smile on their faces. Ideally giggling.”
